Enterprise Systems - Case Studies

Case Studies

Every project we've undertaken has been a success, bar none! It's our #1 priority to offer a genuine, professional service to keep our customers coming back year after year.

Below are just a few of the dozens of customers we've had the pleasure of serving over the years.

BT Openreach Company Logo
BT Openreach, Since 2002

Enterprise Systems was introduced to BT in 2002 shortly after the company was established. Originally being asked to assist with Local Loop Unbundling project administration, the scope of LLUMS project quickly grew to unify numerous other components within BT and it currently has 10 Enterprise Systems staff working full time on the project.

Used by thousands of BT staff worldwide, the LLUMS project has been a major success and it has benefited from over a decade of Enterprise Systems' involvement.

Corelab Company Logo
Corelab, Since 2003

An EU regulation change after 2013 prompted us to establish a fast and agile web-based explosives asset tracking system with mobile scanners and barcode printing functionality. The system was later adopted by additional customers in Norway and, 3 years later, it is still being extended and continually developed to meet an ever-changing sector climate.

ceTrack has provided years of successful audit tracking to our customers.

Gibb Tools Company Logo
Gibb Tools, Since 2004

The IT director of Gibb Tools had approached Enterprise Systems in 2004 to seek advise on how best to manage data entry for tens of thousands of stock items. The company recognised the importance of an up-to-date and thorough digital presence and the impact of manually reworking catalogue content to be sent to editors each season.

Enterprise Systems worked closely with the IT director to undertake the massive task sanitising hundreds of thousands stock profile fields from older spreadsheets and graphics archives. We designed a content management system and online authoring tool from the ground up to keep their website and printed catalogues up to date. This later expanded to become a full stock management system for their store in Aberdeen and the adjoined warehouse which included barcode scanner functionality and customer picking list fulfilment.

Woodgroup ODL Company Logo
Woodgroup ODL, Since 2009

Enterprise Systems have carried out several items of work for ODL since 2006, but the most challenging came in 2009 when we were asked to support a large scale web-based procedural and operational manual archive system. We went to Abu Dhabi to work with the ODL editorial staff on reverse-engineering the existing flash-based software and we within weeks we had designed and deployed a new bespoke .NET C# framework.

This stabilised the tool and handed control of the content over to the end user. This software has received numerous additional features since and was still in active use last time we checked with over 20,000 documents being made accessible to several platforms in the Middle-East.

K&L Ross / Red Wing Company Logo
K&L Ross / Red Wing, Since 2001, 2013

Enterprise Systems had been asked to install the network infrastructure for the company building on King St, Aberdeen, but was immediately called in to carry out server administration and phone system maintenance too. As the company grew, so too did the company's requirements, as it was acquired by Red Wing. Additional staff were provided by Enterprise Systems to provide much needed round-the-clock IT support and maintenance.

In 2012, the business had outgrown its previous location and Enterprise Systems supervised the migration of all networking, computing and phone lines to K&L Ross' purpose-build premises in Altens.

Since then, we've continued to be involved in the businesses' impressive rate of growth, always responding to the challenges of more users and newer ways of communicating.

In 2013, the company was acquired by Red Wing Shoes and we were voluntarily adopted by their corporate IT department to continue serving as their first-line "boots on the ground" for their site in Scotland.
